About us

Leeds LMC is the professional statutory body which represents and supports the interests of General Practitioners in the Leeds area.  It is the only elected representative body of local opinion.  The LMC must be consulted on certain issues.

The Leeds LMC Team consist of 6 LMC Officers (elected every 3 years from the Committee) and 2 (WTE 1.6) Joint Executive Officers who are based at the LMC offices in Adel.

The Committee comprises of 9 GP locality members representing the localities of NHS Leeds North, NHS Leeds South & East and NHS Leeds West. 12 City wide members, as well as 10 other members including Practice Manager, Practice employed clinician, PCN employed clinician and representatives from Leeds Community Healthcare, Leeds Teaching Hospital Trust, Leeds Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, Local Authority Public health and GP Registrar. In addition, the Committee can co-opt 2 additional members.
