Leeds LMC has invited Dr Clare Bannon, Deputy Chair, GPC England, to update us on GP Contract plans for 2023/24 and beyond.

At a crucial time for general practice, and with 23/24 being the 5th year of the current PCN DES, this will be an opportunity to hear from one of our national GP negotiators and to learn about planned contract change for the coming year, why GPC England rejected these proposals, and what are the likely next steps. We will also hear and be able to ask about how the BMA, NHSE and government intend to address workload and workforce issues impacting general practice, what are their plans for the future of PCNs, integrated working and resolving primary / secondary care interface issues.

The event will be held on Tuesday 28th February at The Village Hotel (186 Otley Road, Headingley, Leeds LS16 5PR) between 7-9pm. Refreshments will be available from 6.30pm.
