CHAIR - DR RAJ MENON

Raj qualified in 1974 and has been a member of the Committee since April 1995.

His main interest is dealing with issues relating to performance and complaints. He sees the LMC working hard to protect GP interests. He also has an interest in GP the provision of GP education. Outside medicine he enjoys running, circuit training and playing golf badly.

VICE CHAIR - DR ANNETTE BEARPARK

Annette was been involved in the work of the committee and an active committee member for a number of years.  In April 2011 Annette was elected to serve as an Officer in the position of Vice Chair.

MEDICAL SECRETARY - DR RAJ SATHIYASEELAN

Raj graduated from Leeds University in 1998 and subsequently spent 6 years in hospital medicine, predominately in Leeds. In 2004, he joined the Harrogate VTS and following completion of training, joined his current practice as a partner. He was elected to the LMC in 2007.

ASSISTANT MEDICAL SECRETARY - DR RICHARD VAUTREY

Richard was the LMC's Medical Secretary from April 1999 to 2008 and now holds the post of Assistant Medical Secretary.

He qualified in Manchester in 1988 and has worked in places as varied as Rochdale and Nigeria. He became a partner at Meanwood Group Practice in 1994 and was first elected to the LMC in 1995.

In addition to his work for the LMC, he is also the GPC representative for the Leeds area and the GPC Deputy Chairman.

TREASURER - DR JONATHAN ADAMS

Jonathan Adams qualified in 1986 and has been a member of the Committee since March 1995. He took over the Assistant Medical Secretary's role from Dr David Ashelford in November 1998 and after a spell as Vice Chair, took on the Treasurer's role in April, 2005.

His objectives for the LMC are to reconstitute the Committee into a strong, robust organisation which moves with the times and which is responsive both to local members and to Leeds-wide national issues. He believes that the LMC should continue to be the leading voice for General Practice in Leeds and should protect and encourage the strength and qualities of primary care in the new NHS.

Clinical Interests include inner city general practice, primary care development / enhancement and addiction services in the primary care setting.

He has previously been a commissioning GP with Leeds Heath Authority and has sat on various committees involved with emergency services, winter pressures and mental health.

Outside work, Jonathan participates in a weekly game of football with other medics and is active in a local Christian fellowship.

JOINT EXECUTIVE OFFICER - KATHRYN TATE

Kathryn Tate, joined Leeds LMC in April 2007 as the full time Executive Officer and became part time Joint Executive Officer in August 2009, working 3 days a week.

JOINT EXECUTIVE OFFICER - KATE GAGEN

Kate joined the team in August 2009 as part time Executive Officer also working 3 days a week.
